Shame on Our Leaders and Judges

Steven LeBlanc

President Barack Obama and Vice President Biden could not maintain their credibility with the leftist elite if they supported the biblical view that God ordained marriage as solely between a man and woman. The biblical view is ignored to please big money supporters from the gay community, and Hollywood celebrities.

Only six states have approved homosexual marriage, while 30 have imposed a constitutional ban. In North Carolina, a ban not only on same-sex marriage but also civil unions, though opposed by the President and former President Bill Clinton, recently received 61 percent of the vote. Clearly, at the State level, voters have rejected the Gay Marriage concept. But the fight by the Democratic Party on Gay Marriage is far from over. Gay Marriage advocates now see the road to victory is through the Courts.

In liberal California in 2008, Proposition 8, restricting marriage to men and women, won. But then, a homosexual California judge overturned the decision of California’s voters to ban gay marriage, and his ruling is now headed for the high court.

The New York Times, declaring that homosexuals’ right to marry is “too precious and too fragile to be left up to the whim of the states” is looking to the court as the champion to impose same-sex marriage on the nation.

It increasingly looks like the Supreme Court will tell us whether the matter will be decided democratically by voters and their elected officials, or by the Supreme court. Four liberal Judges on the Supreme Court — Elena Kagan, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor — are most likely to declare that homosexual marriage is a constitutional right, as their predecessors declared abortion to be a constitutional right. The President needs one more justice to press his agenda of same-sex marriage. If elected in November, same-sex marriage will be thrust on this nation by the Supreme court.

The Apostle John warns in Revelation 22:18-19 that anyone who adds to, or subtracts from Scripture will not have their names written in the book of Life. Deuteronomy 4:1-2 warns us that tampering with God’s commands is not a trivial act. The consequences for minimizing the word of God are severe.

Many of our national leaders are going beyond minimizing the law of God, they are rejecting God completely and encouraging the nation to follow their arrogant decisions.
