1 in 4 women in America have been victims of severe physical violence (e.g. beating, burning, strangling) by an intimate partner in their lifetime  Approximately 1,500 women are killed each year by husbands or boyfriends.

In the United States, one of the most dangerous places for a woman is her own home.  “The number of American troops killed in Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2012 was 6488.  The number of American women who were murdered by current or ex male partners during that time was 11766. That’s nearly double the amount of casualties lost during war.—Huffington Post, Alanna Vagianos.

Approximately 1,500 women are killed each year by husbands or boyfriends. About 2 million men per year beat their “partners”, this according to the F.B.I.  Colossians 3:19:  “Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them”.  Malachi 2:13-14: “This is another thing you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping and with groaning, because He no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand. “Yet you say, ‘For what reason?’ Because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.—Steven LeBlanc
